The Serpong neighbourhood sees yet another coffee shop, just when you thought there is no room left for such establishment. Sitting on the same strip as Torigen, Turning Point and Porto, Daily Press does not underestimate the importance of standing out in the crowd.
Not only it is tucked right next to the entrance of the shophouses complex that makes Daily Press very easy to find; a flash red Porsche (courtesy of the owner) that is parked daily in front of the café, is a distinctive feature that would immediately draw one’s attention. What’s more, with the presence of a vintage motorcycle that beguiles one who passes by the front door, one simply couldn’t help but to take a glimpse of what’s in store.
A popular hangout destination already, Daily Press does not discriminate. A group of parents is just a table away from busy students working on their school project, while young executives choose to have their joe at the al fresco seating. It is not unusual to see patrons taking pictures at every corner, and more often than not, featuring a cup of the signature Ice Jamaica Coffee or Cookie Shot (a sugar-coated cookie cup filled to the brim with your choice of latte) as some of the photo props.
Still, what makes Daily Press inviting is perhaps due to the large glass windows that surround the otherwise stuffy space. Not much to see outside, yet anywhere by the window is a perfect spot to snuggle down and get lost in your own thoughts as the hours pass by. And for those of you in a serious mission to brighten up your day, best advice is to go for a dose of fresh air at the backyard where you can play freely with the owners’ own dogs.
