Three Buns has pulled an unexpected coup through collaboration that, instead of just producing more of their well-loved burgers, culminated in a fashion capsule collection with the famed Japanese cult label, Neighbourhood.
Known for their premium-quality motorcycle culture influenced apparel, Neighbourhood managed to keep their essence intact in the collection while injecting themselves with a mild sense of humour inspired by the tropical mood of Southeast Asia.
Apart from the essential T-shirts, loyal fans of the brand (or the burger establishment) would find much to love on pieces like short-sleeved shirt festooned with coconut and hammock prints finished with Three Buns’s logo emblazoned above the shirt pocket. Plus, they have gone a step further to excite the collector’s spirit in you with items like apron and cigarette ashtray in the form of Three Buns’s mascot, Wilfred the bulldog.
Other than the capsule collection, Three Buns has also cooked up something in celebration of the partnership. Inspired by Neighbourhood’s founder Shinzuke Takizawa’s love for Mexican flavours, the establishment Executive Chef, Adam Penney, has created The Neighbourhood Burger, a gourmet burger packed with devilish jalapenos, to be washed down with specially crafted cocktails by in-house Mixologist, Dre Masso.
And the best part of all? The partnership between the cult label and burger establishment appears to be so effortless despite their obvious differences. This could very well be one of the most offbeat yet successful collaborations of the year.
The Three Buns X Neighbourhood capsule collection can be found in Three Buns for the duration of two months (while stocks last), starting from September 5th, 2015.
The gourmet burger and crafted cocktails in celebration of the occasion are also available from September 5th, 2015, for the period of one month.
