The ability for ahotel to be rated the amount of stars they deserve often lies heavily on what sort of restaurants it could pull off. And not only once do we encounter poor quality eatery which claims its residence in top-notchhotel chains.
But that’s certainly not the case with Sana Sini, a buffet restaurant located at Pullman Hotel (MH Thamrin Road). It’s pretty obvious how Sana Sini’s popularity hasn’t been riding the coat-tails of Pullman Hotel’s famed reputation. Yep, once you’re here, you’ll be regaled by a whooping variety of treats.
Having won the Best Buffet Variety award from NOW! Jakarta last year, Sana Sini faithfully lives up to its name. Sana Sini, Here and There in English, brings a variety of cuisines from all over the world: Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, and Mediterranean/Western food.
The main highlight, though, is the Indonesian buffet that ranges from pempek (fish cake), satay, chicken curry, all the way to gudeg. Walk further from the Indonesian section then you’ll find neat rows of fresh sashimi, makizushi, robatayaki and plenty more on the Japanese section. On the Mediterranean wing, colourful chilled salad bowls are neatly arranged and ready to accompany your choice of pasta or even grilled Australian beef.
Dessert wise, there are plenty to choose from: chocolate fondue, cakes and bonbons. However, Sana Sini departs from the usual Western desserts and in turn, adding an Indonesian dessert section that features jajanan pasar (sweet treats that are usually sold in traditional market). Expect the likes of lapis legit, kolak ubi, kue pisang, kue cubit and a whole lot more.
In terms of food quality, one needn’t worry, because everything in Sana Sini is made daily from scratch from the freshest ingredients. With a fascinating mix between delicious food assortments and prime location in the heart of the city, needless to say, Sana Sini will keep you fully sated.
