Jakarta is clearly not an easy city to navigate. Infuriating traffic aside, there’s the confusing webs of streets and the ambiguous road signs that are further aggravating when it rains. There’s little wonder why one would prefer to head home straight after work or just rely on Netflix and takeouts during weekends.
This is why for a period of one month, BMW Indonesia is partnering up with Manual Jakarta to bring you noted coffee shops in Jakarta closer to you. Each week, a new coffee shop will be taking over the pop-up café across the five selected BMW showrooms. All you have to do is head to the nearest participating BMW showroom.
So expect coffee shops from North, South and even Greater Jakarta in the West region and vice versa. This is your chance to get acquainted with coffee establishments that you’ve been yearning to visit but haven’t gotten the chance to do so. Best part? You get to experience it with the company of the handsome BMW X1.
Apart from the participating coffee shops, special event partners will also liven up the Jakarta Coffee Exchange experience. Visitors will be lounging in the specially designed pop-up space by Fabelio while taking in music from the standard-defining sound system from Bang & Olufsen. You can also collect five different letterpressed coasters by Distillery Asia that are specially designed by MALT Studio. Come weekend, Gordi will be presenting exclusive coffee workshops (grab a copy of Jakarta Coffee Exchange programme at any of the participating BMW showrooms for more information). Rounding off the experience are car-carpet inspired aprons created by VINORA as well as brownies from Mister Sunday and smashing juice from Petik Juice.
If you’re planning to take on a road trip to visit all the coffee shops in all the showrooms during the entire Jakarta Coffee Exchange, let it be known that we ain’t stopping you.
