Serving up scrummy Western comfort food within a friendly ambience, HASEA Eatery provides a good reason why you should check-out Bintaro to dine.

Think of a bustling neighbourhood around Jakarta’s perimeters, and Bintaro is most likely to come to mind. Despite the effort it takes to get there, this township is widely known for being a family-friendly region with a plethora of lifestyle subjects to enjoy. To name one: food.

And holding that torch is HASEA Eatery. This eatery lodged right on the main road of Bintaro may be young but nonetheless quickly making a name for itself in the area. At a glance, the establishment doesn’t give much of a clue about its cuisine. Though its name, “hasea”, in Batak language means “useful or successful”, the eatery is neither a tribute to the ethnic cuisine. But diners won’t feel let down once knowing that the eatery specialises in Western dishes; and upon having a taste, this element of surprise becomes all the more worth it for HASEA surely knows how to please a hungry tummy.

Taking home meals as their inspiration, the dishes at HASEA are evocative of home-cooked meals with a dash of innovation. Take for one their Fried Peanut Butter Banana Sandwich that’s unusually served with a fragrant lemon chantilly cream. Or another is the French classic Croque Monsieur with smoked chicken ham, spinach and béchamel sauce.

If you’re looking for heavier fares, the enticing list of main dishes are certainly hunger-inducing. You can’t go wrong with the Jamaican Jerk Chicken bowl (chicken filet atop tomato seasoned rice with tangy yogurt sauce and coriander) or the crowd’s favourite Avocado Pesto Spaghetti that tastes just as delicious as it sounds. In short, HASEA’s dishes celebrate all fares from breakfast to dinner with much fervor.

Case in point, the eatery attracts a wide range of customers on the daily. Whether they are mothers dropping by for breakfast or youngsters lingering till late night, as well as entire families on weekends, the steady flow is a sign of a well-adoring crowd. The atmosphere will read differently whether you’re with friends or family, but it’ll certainly brighten your mood and HASEA Eatery is, without doubt, successful at achieving that.
