Going on its tenth year, One Fifteenth Coffee (stylised as 1/15) has become one of the default places to go for a good brunch and coffee in Jakarta. This rings true for all of their current branches; be it in Gandaria, Kemang or Menteng, the brand thrives at its own pace, building loyal patrons and snatching enviable spots in the city along the way.
With the desire to become “the neighbourhood’s favourite restaurant” in various cities, One Fifteenth surprised the community of Alam Sutera, a burgeoning neighbourhood that the team has always wanted to explore, with its fourth outlet. The opportunity presented itself in the form of collaboration with design house and manufacturer Bottega & Artisan, sharing space with the company’s flagship store on Jalan Jalur Sutera.
Those who have spent a good amount of time at One Fifteenth’s outlets would recognise a common thread here: each place is always bright, playing down frills to emphasise natural light and polished interiors. The new place at Alam Sutera ticks all that, this time with a darker palette to maintain a singular flow from Bottega & Artisan’s structural and moody building: think dark slabs and wooden walls, warmed with greeneries and cosy fixtures.
Just like its siblings, the Alam Sutera outlet creates a roomy space to cater to many moments—from a brief coffee fix and a hearty brunch to an all-day hangout—while still drawing attention to their menu of specialty coffee and fares.
Both are ever-dependable, with a selection of favourites like the Avocado on Toast and Ricotta Waffle to the popular Ice White and the signature cold drip coffee, Rojali (Rock Java Lime). Yet the less opted also deserves a try, like the Cake Au Sale (a savoury baked cake of turkey bacon and parmesan cheese, served with poached egg and sauteed mushroom) and the unique-tasting, antioxidant-packed Turmeric Latte.
The opening in Alam Sutera marks One Fifteenth’s first collaboration with retail space, made possible with both brands’ shared vision in creating a wholesome experience through taste and visuals. No matter the location, though, the popular One Fifteenth Coffee is set to draw crowds—as expected from the establishment that takes its time to create a well-crafted menu and thought-out design.
