Ruci Art Space put forward I Too Am Untranslatable, an exhibition by a collective of artists that explores the human body.

RUCI Art Space emphasises on the bodily functions derived from various setbacks, challenges as well as social, emotional and physical experiences through the I too am untranslatable exhibition. Four artists from varying backgrounds showcase their works and interpretations of how they assimilate and derive meaning in what is considered ‘physical attributes’ into different mediums of art.

Displaying a mix of art principles and practices, the works interpret the fluidity of the body with the different social, emotion and physical experiences associated with it. Overall, the exhibition focuses on how the understanding of human body varies from one person to another.

To wit, Jabbar Muhammad looks into the parallel between brush strokes and human interactions that are enshrined on paper and canvas. While mixed media artist, photographer and graphic designer Deden Durahman places attention on one’s self-representation in both the public and private spaces in the technology and virtual era through mixed mediums and photo prints named Peerless and Peers.

I too am untranslatable exhibition will run until August 13, 2017 at Ruci Art Space from 11am-7pm .
