Photographer Prabowo Prajogio and stylists Gisela Febrina Juwono and Willy Disney explore an alternate timeline of Indonesia untouched by colonial history.

“A New Order of Opulence” brings together photographer Prabowo Prajogio, and stylists Gisela Febrina Juwono and Willy Disney in a shared exploration through fashion editorial.

The project imagines an alternate Indonesia, one untouched by colonial history, where luxury is not imported, but inherently its own. Through fashion, the editorial speculates on what prosperity and identity might look like in such a timeline.

The series was photographed at Cikini 82, the former residence of Achmad Soebardjo, Indonesia’s first Foreign Minister and a key figure in the country’s independence. The historic house offers a setting where past and possibility quietly intersect.

Featuring works by Indonesian designers including Toton The Label, Studio Jeje, Tanah Le Saé, Saya Tales, Studio Moral, Gelap Ruang Jiwa, VOP, Othman, and Jovem Studio, the editorial frames fashion as a medium for imagining a different future that is shaped by confidence and self-definition.
