HOURS: Coffee and More

5th December 2017
Nestled in the lobby of an office building over at Kelapa Gading, HOURS got it covered from coffee, light bites to heavy fare throughout the day.

The food and drink scene over at Kelapa Gading has definitely gotten more varied these days. The area is not only teeming with famous street food and neighbourhood coffee shops, but lately it is also filled with restaurant slash cafés, serving up all-day brunch. It certainly not an easy task deciding what to eat for the residents in the area, especially when faced with an abundance of choice.

Adding on to the list of new establishments in Kelapa Gading is HOURS. The latter is housed in the lobby of an office building, serving up a variety of options to choose from depending on your moods and the occasions. There’s a range of Western and Asian dishes to fit your fancy. For breakfast, there’s the classic Eggs Benedict and their popular brioche French toast served with salted caramel banana.

If you’re here during lunchtime, it’s easy to gravitate towards options like Báhn Mì or even a simple Acai bowl. And when the afternoon rolls to evening, one can indulge on their Pan Fried Chicken Steak or Ribs Rendang with a side of rice.

It doesn’t matter if you’re here with a full tummy, just order a glass of fresh juice and take a seat by the window, where it’s showered with natural light during the day. Given that it’s the most popular spot in HOURS, it’s best to come early to score the best seat. The establishment is often packed with nearby white-collar workers during lunchtime and young moms dropping by for a quick get-together after picking their kids from school.

HOURS is almost always bustling with crowds throughout the day. The energetic chatter might put some people off. Still, those who prefer a lively establishment will definitely enjoy the atmosphere here. Plus, in the first place, Kelapa Gading is not the kind of neighbourhood where you’d visit for a quiet ambience anyway.
