Sometimes we go over excessive details whenever we talk about our dream home. While deciding on a location is a no-brainer task for some people (Malibu or somewhere in Italy), most would halt and spend more time to think about what kind of interior and furniture they should go for.
Thankfully, Casaka has recently arrived with its beautiful timber furniture that are no doubt would add a touch of elegance to your ideal kind of home. Started by Edo and Silvi Santoso in early 2015, Casaka covers a range of furniture basics such as chairs and tables for various purposes, which are neatly organised at their studio in Muara Karang.
Rather than being the centre of attention, Casaka’s products serves as a fine complement or “supporting role” of a home. Thanks in part to their effortless design that is not only sophisticated, but also elegant without a hint of ostentatiousness.
Take the Diamante table for instance. Made from Suar Wood (a type of wood from Saman trees, also known as Trembesi trees in Indonesia), the thick tabletop is accentuated with diamond-shaped edges and triangular metal trestles – a brazen, statement-making furniture that would definitely invite positive feedbacks from your visiting neighbours. Meanwhile, for those searching for something more low-key, Cascata Natural dining table appeals more to many due to its simpler design.
Casaka mainly produces furniture from Teak (also known as Kayu Jati in Indonesia) and Suar Wood; that’s why when it comes to durability, their products are made to stand the test of time. Furthermore, Casaka uses sustainable hardwood material that is salvaged from legal sources in Indonesia. Beautiful design meets durability, and most importantly, it’s all for a good cause as well.
