Seven Friday

Everyday could possibly feels like Friday at Seven Friday. Not satisfied with just being a watch boutique, the establishment also boasts a bar, restaurant and even co-working space to stretch your time even further.

Those who are used to the idea of buying watch in a boutique will be in for a pleasant surprise at Seven Friday space. Located in Plaza Indonesia, this Zurich-based brand not only eschewed the common labels associated with luxury watches, such as ‘tradition’ and ‘Swiss-made’, it also ditched the preconceived idea of having to drop by a watch boutique just to make a purchase for a timepiece.

Seven Friday is ambitious in terms of the function of its space. To keep things simple, it is basically a bar/lounge, restaurant, co-working space, and of course, watch boutique all rolled into one.

Guests would immediately notice how the establishment is subtly divided into three different areas while still maintaining the harmony of the space. Over at one end, a sleek bar sends out variety of drinks from house cocktails, whisky, and even coffee (provided by Common Grounds) to patrons who prefer to discuss business or close deal in a semi-formal setup.

In another separate room, lies the dining area with open kitchen concept where guests could sink their teeth into Seven Friday’s hearty fare, including foie gras toast, their signature smoky Seven Friday Burger and the stellar pork chop dressed in sambal matah. Here, the time waiting for food to arrive is easily directed to the observation of the chefs busying themselves behind the counter or the tasteful Eames chair you’re seating on.

Even if you’re not in the mood for a meal, the dining room also serves as a co-working space during the afternoon (from 2pm-4pm). Still, it’d be shame to not try a thing or two from the menu when you’re in Seven Friday. Digging into their desserts, particularly pandan crème brulée, while working on a project with your buddies is undoubtedly gratifying.

Despite the fact that Seven Friday’s watch gallery is located just beside the dining area, guests could also request to browse them at the comfort of their own table, delivered in vintage deposit boxes that are up-cycled from Swiss banks.

All these dedications to keep their guests comfortable are an indication that Seven Friday understands the idea that time is a luxury. And instead of focusing solely on its watches, Seven Friday shows you the pleasure of taking your time in the things that you do. Absolutely no rush here.
