Last weekend, We The Fest 2017 extended its festivity to a three day festival with headliners including The Kooks, Phoenix, and Big Sean, making it an event that even the president didn’t want to miss out on.

The weather was hot, the crowd was solid and the music never stopped. Jakartans just said goodbye to one of the most exciting music events of the year, We The Fest (WTF) 2017. The fourth edition of the music festival was held in JIEXPO Kemayoran, with a bigger arena and even more entertainment than the last.

The diverse line up over the past three days attracted a huge crowd, and even Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo could be seen enjoying the first day of WTF, catching performances from Charli XCX and Kodaline to name a few. International headliners such as The Kooks, Phoenix and Big Sean undeniably took the WTF (main) stage by storm, gracing the crowds with their top hits and incredible performances.

Alongside international artists, Indonesian acts such as The Sigit, Raisa and Mondo Gascoro could also be seen lifting up the crowd’s energy as fans sang along to their greatest hits. To top it off, festival goers had the opportunity to witness some exciting collaboration performances from artists such as Barasuara x Scaller and Mocca x Payung Teduh.

Of course, at WTF, as the sun goes down, the nights get louder, and with the sun setting, the music festival turned into a clubbing mecca, accommodating performances from Hot Chip (DJ Set), Zhu and Snakehips to dance the night away to.

Apart from musical acts, festival goers also immersed themselves in WTF’s art village, fashion and food market throughout the weekend. Popular events included a fashion showcase presented by local label MORAL in collaboration with Generation-G, a theatre screening presented by Kingsman in collaboration with Kinosaurus and SLATE, and food booths from ISMAYA Group. These additions completed the festival atmosphere, combining the best of music with festival essentials over the course of three-day We The Fest extravaganza.
