All eyes were on Jakarta last Sunday, thanks to We The Fest concert that played host to an eventful line-up of entertainment in the midst of Jakarta’s balmy summer night. We The Fest, the most-awaited summer concert in Jakarta, notched up more than ten international musicians this time, shifting the bar slightly higher than its last year’s debut.
Although Flight Facilities gathered most of the crowds, the reception towards other artists was still above par. Names include Kimbra, Echosmith, Cyril Hahn, Jessie Ware, 360, Rüfüs, sextet Sheppard, Madeon, and duo Panama. Aside from overseas performers, local artists too graced the stage: Neonomora, Teza Sumendra, Elephant Kind, L’alphalpha, to name a few.
Likewise, the whole event was made merrier with pop-up markets (presented by Brightspot) that offered concert essentials from food and drink, fashion, to barber shop (haircut, anyone?).
