The brunch scene in Jakarta just keeps getting better. One of the latest establishments to introduce weekend brunch, Sofia is giving you more reasons to get out of bed to fill that grumbling void in your tummy.
Tackling both camps of sweet and savouries, it’s not hard to find something you’d like in the menu. For the sweet-toothed, you can’t miss Brioche French Toast with seasonal berries as well as their Belgian waffle sprinkled with a few pinch of sea salt that tastes as good as it looks.
But if you’re the “breakfast for champion” type, the menu’s creamy and hearty Breakfast Carbonara will suit your liking with its turkey bacon and poached egg. Still, don’t overlook Boeuf et Oeuf (roast beef with poached egg and soy-onion butter). The dish may not be much to look at but it will prove you wrong when it comes to taste wise.
The weekend brunch in Sofia is often filled with families and groups of mates, but there’s nothing wrong in visiting by yourself too. Just make sure to park yourself by the window and soak in the natural light.
