A Look Into Jakarta Biennale 2015

Here’s a preview on what to expect from Jakarta Biennale 2015 at Gudang Sarinah that’s going to run until January 17th, 2016.

Jakarta Biennale 2015 comes back bigger and better this year. Themed ‘Maju Kena, Mundur Kena: Bertindak Sekarang (Neither Forward nor Back: Acting in the Present), the bi-annual design festival focuses on current issues and reflects on the artists’ responses towards social, political and economic ordeal in each countries they are living in.

The festival hosts various art instalments from photography, video instalment, mural to sound art, and many more from 50 local and international artists. Aside from installations, the festival is also a host to weekly Creative Weekend Market and various workshops.
