Art & Science is that one spot you can run to when shopping gets too physically and mentally exhausting. Shoppers beware: you’ll end up spending more than what you had originally planned.

Have you ever felt the need to go out shopping to let off steam, but ended up frustrated because you don’t know what you want? Well, sometimes shopping does involve a wee bit of irony. The right remedy for this is either drop your shopping plans or drop by Art & Science.

Art & Science is something akin to Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, minus the creepy living toys and Dustin Hoffman. To say that Art & Science is a gift store is an understatement. Well one does not simply find a bicycle and Bell helmets in a gift store, right?

It’s safe to say that Art & Science is a lifestyle store. Here, one can unearth from the basic essentials like shoe polishing kit and denim trousers, to the high-end objects like sunglasses and leather wallets. Though sometimes it’s possible for one to stumble across random objects such as, say, a board game, one doesn’t have to question the quality for each object had undergone a thorough curation to get into Art & Science.

As such, it’s very likely to find things one couldn’t get anywhere else in Indonesia; for example, The Adventure of Tintin collectibles (puzzle, tote bag, mug, you name it) and also rare books and zines like Hypebeast and B: Brand Documentary Magazine. Art & Science is also a vigorous supporter of local crafts – among those stocked up in the store are handcrafted wood-based radio Magno and quality bags from Imagery.

Finding this store is a bit tricky, however, first thing to do is to locate UNIQLO in Grand Indonesia’s East Mall, and you’d be able to spot Art & Science thereafter. Then let the shopping begins.
